Robert Richardson

Robert
Richardson is the author of
Henry Thoreau: A Life of the Mind and
Emerson:
The Mind on Fire and, most recently
William James: In the Maelstrom of American
Modernism.
He is currently an independent scholar, though he has taught for many years.
He is half owner of the schooner Alamar, out of Castine: Alamar won the Maine
Retired Skipper’s Race last year.
He is currently at work on a book on Omar Khayyam and his friends.
