Pricing & Registration Chart
General Admission:
$125 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday---all sessions and all social events, except Saturday Church Supper (see below)
Save $55 with full weekend registration.
Student Admission
$65 for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—all sessions and events, with valid student ID. (Mail checks to Box 886, Camden, ME 04843.)
Friday Only:
$50 for Keynote Lecture and Party.
Saturday Only:
$65 for Day-long sessions
Saturday Night: “Church Supper Redux”—an upgrade on the classical Maine church supper produced with local Maine foods by several acclaimed Maine chefs who are dedicated to the complete use of local, organic foods in their restaurants or services. SPACE LIMITED TO 80 persons only. BUY NOW for $35 per person. ADMISSION TO DINNER IS BASED ON PURCHASE OF A TICKET TO THE FULL FESTIVAL. IT IS NOT AN EVENT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, BUT TO FESTIVAL ATTENDEES ONLY AND REQUIRES THE ADDITIONAL FEE OF $35.

The Maine Literary Festival is a scholarship project of the Midcoast Branch of the American Association of University Women. All proceeds from the Festival are used for the Midcoast AAUW's scholarship program for young women and girls who might otherwise not be able to attend college.

"Ready to Be Published: A Real-World Workshop"
November 6 & 7, 2008
Camden Public Library, Picker Room
Published writers and those whose work is ready or almost ready for submission to a publisher may apply to attend this two-day workshop facilitated by editor Judith Daniels.
Faculty for the workshop, will be announced soon!
The workshop includes group discussions and personal consultations. It covers the following essentials for success in getting published:
- Seeking the right outlet
- Approaching agents
- Identifying what editors want and what they dread
- Refining the pitch
- Crafting the persuasive cover letter
- Getting writing assignments
- Networking and keeping up contacts
Registration is limited. Applicants will be asked to provide in advance a short story, a sample book chapter, or non-fiction article for the faculty to critique. The tuition fee for this comprehensive workshop is $350.00; registration is handled separately from the Maine Literary Festival. Workshop participants may purchase student tickets to the Festival at the rate of $65.00 per person.
